D21st Amendment Brewery

San Francisco, Calif.: August 28, 2013 - August 29, 2013

For the last 13 years, 21st Amendment Brewery has been keeping culture and tradition alive in the heart of San Francisco. While the popular brewpub has become known for its eight rotating taps of award-winning, hand-crafted house beers – and countless other titles handed over by the press – the premise in which it was founded dates back over 100 years. At the turn of the 20th century, breweries spanned the city, but the 18th amendment and start of Prohibition shut down these neighborhood staples. Since the end of Prohibition, the number of brew houses in S.F. is shockingly smaller than it once was, but the men behind this local hotspot aren’t as quick to forget the tradition that comes along with a true brewery or what makes it possible – the 21st Amendment.
